Award-winning journalist Margo Jefferson is a former theater critic and book reviewer for The New York Times, where she received the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. A recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, she is the author of several books, including Negroland: A Memoir, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award.
